Plan the space before choosing a coop

Use this checklist alongside the specifications for your selected model.

1. Check local rules, permitted flock size and property setbacks.
2. Plan enclosed housing and outdoor space separately.
3. Measure the available site and access for delivery and assembly.
4. Allow room for doors, egg collection, cleaning and maintenance.
5. Plan dry ground, drainage, ventilation, shade and shelter.
6. Review local predator risks and any additional securing needed.
7. Check the model’s included components and assembly instructions.
8. Review delivery arrangements and return conditions before ordering.
